Cape Town

Welcome to the Mother City! Soon, you too will feel right at home. Cape Town is an iconic destination for those traveling to South Africa and other southern Africa destinations. It has been nominated as the second most Instagram-worthy city in the world, and it’s not hard to understand why. Get ready for your breath to be taken away around every corner.

Being a “Capetonian” myself, I can honestly say that I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful city! I am as passionate about my home town, as I am about Africa. It is always such a privilege to be able to share my passions with my clients in mind-blowing itineraries!

Cape Town International Airport makes access incredibly easy for most airlines and, with the city centre only a 30 minute drive from the airport, the traveling time to your hotel for a well-deserved rest isn’t too far away.

We have spoken about family-friendly options before, and Cape Town is no exception to traveling families. Whether you are traveling with tiny humans, teenagers or as multi-generational groups, there are options to suit your family’s needs. Various villas and apartment style accommodations make it a little easier for these types of bookings. Or for those wanting exclusive use of a guesthouse, Cape Town offers many small, boutique-style options that have only a few rooms; booked exclusively, they are perfect for small groups traveling together. Have a look at my family-friendly blog for more information on this and other family friendly options we recommend.

We work with the best guides, and suggest only them for amazing touring options. Think Table Mountain, a visit to Cape Point Nature Reserve, the Penguins at Boulders Beach, Kirstenbosch Gardens, swimming with the seals, shark cage diving, sky diving, wine tasting and quad biking—these are just a few of the activities available in Cape Town and the surrounding areas! Activities cater for both the adventurous and the more relaxed type of traveler.

Arriving in Cape Town is a great start to your itinerary, especially after a very long flight! Use the time in Cape Town to recover from jet lag—and then explore! From here you can reach just about anywhere in Southern Africa!

Cape Town also offers easy access to neighbouring countries such as Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia, not to mention getting to Namibia and Mozambique, (which require a quick stop in Johannesburg). Reaching other areas within South Africa is also quite seamless. For those wanting to go to the Greater Kruger National Park, Cape Town now has direct flights to various airports such as Nelspruit, Skukuza and Hoedspruit.

Tailored Ventures will assist you from start to finish. We always suggest the best possible routings and the best possible accommodations. Why not contact us to start planning?
